| Cary was born in
Williamsport, PA. His family moved when he was a baby. His father was in
the Navy and came to Norfolk, VA. He lived in Norview, Chicks Beach, and
the Plaza. He saw the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel begin construction as
well as the interstate formerly known as the Toll Road (264 now). He
attended Princess Ann High school because he lived right on the line that
separated the districts between Kellam and Princess Anne.
He married young, to Paula Haywood. They had two children, David Scott and Jennifer Shannon. Cary and Paula divorced in 1985. He met Crystal Robinson through a friend in 1981. They had a chance meeting again in 1985 and began to date. They married a year later. Cary and Crystal will celebrate 20 years of marriage on November 10, 2006. |
| Crystal was
born in Norfolk, VA. She lived on Locust Avenue until she was 10 when her
father moved the family to Virginia Beach, due to busing. (attempt to
desegregate in early 60's in Norfolk) Her father moved the family near the
Marina at Lesners Bridge. She lived with her father until she was 14, then
she went to live with her mother who lived in Kennett Grove. She
moved to Green Run when she was 16, and left home November 9, 1976.
She attended Sherwood Forest Elementary, Kempslanding Middle School, John B. Dey Elementary, Cox High School, Plaza Jr. High School, and Kellam High School. Crystal married early to Gary Jones, at the age of 17 in 1977. After 3 months, due to unforseen circumstances she could not stay in the marriage and went back to Virginia. They divorced in 1979. During this time she had met a man and had a child. Her name was Tiffanie Melanie. Tiffanie was born on December 5, 1979. Crystal could not remain with Tiffanie's father as he was abusive. She left him on Easter 1980. Tiffanie gave a new purpose to Crystal's life. But tragedy struck when Tiffanie was diagnosed with cancer. She died on August 26, 1986. Crystal married Cary Glen in November, and by the following year, their son Simon was born, then Joel. In 1993, she gave birth to a stillborn daughter they named Sonya Anne. In 1995 Ashley was born on Easter Sunday. Email is crissy@nexet.net |
