Montpelier Chapter NSDAR
Our Chapter History

Montpelier Chapter - Organized 1965

The name of this new Chapter, Montpelier, was chosen by the National Society.

The Organizing Regent was Nancy Marshall (Mrs. Robert F.) Estes.

Since its organization in October 1965, the Montpelier Chapter has diligently striven to meet the goals of both the National and State Societies, in addition to its own goals. The Chapter has almost always received top recognition on Honor Roll and Chapter Achievement Awards. Our programs have been varied and interesting. Currently our Chapter meetings are held either on Thursdays or Saturdays to accomodate the needs of our employed members.

Graves have been marked of members and non-members, including those of
(1) Revolutionary War Captain Angus Rucker, and of Real Daughters,
(2) Belle V. Roberts and Elizabeth R. Strother.

The Montpelier Chapter NSDAR started with 23 Organizing members in 1965. Currently the Chapter enjoys its 100+ members.

This Page is dedicated to all present and past members of the Montpelier Chapter.
Let your light so shine before men,
that they may see your good works,

and glorify your Father, which is in heaven.
Matthew 5:16
